Montréal, University City: A boon for the Metropole and its Neighbourhoods?

Montreal takes pride in being North America’s second University City, a title earned through age-old and recent institutions that contribute to the prestige and influence of the city as well as its economy and urban development. Their expansion creates opportunities to revitalize heritage sites and create new public places. But on a daily basis, what are the implications of having universities as neighbours?
