Animated tour – Winter fun for the whole family

Step into the past with a family-friendly guided tour of the exhibition Becoming Montreal: The 1800s Painted by Duncan. Let us take you on an exciting journey through the lives of 19th century Montrealers, dotted with objects you can handle. You’ll learn how winter was experienced in Montreal over 150 years ago, and the origins of some well-known seasonal sports.  

Climb aboard a traditional toboggan, learn how to tie an arrowhead sash have fun with old-fashioned toys.

Schedule

Every Saturday until April 20
  • English: 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
  • French: 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • The guided tour schedule is subject to change without notice depending on staff availability. Contact the Museum Admission Desk to confirm the schedule of activities offered on the day of your visit.
  • Free when you purchase an admission ticket.  Free for ages 17 and under.
  • Space limited, no reservation. Sign up on the day of the event at the Museum Admissions Desk.
