Connecting with Indigenous Communities

Corporate package

In the spirit of equity, diversity and inclusion, the McCord Stewart Museum invites you to connect with Indigenous cultures along with your colleagues or business partners. Enjoy an inspiring, engaging and educational experience with our new package designed to meet the needs of companies wishing to raise their staff’s or clientele’s awareness of the realities of Quebec’s Indigenous nations.

Enjoy a memorable group experience, including a private guided tour of the exhibition Indigenous Voices of Today: Knowledge, Trauma, Resilience, followed by a workshop titled “My Allyship in Action to Support Indigenous Nations.”

By booking this package, you’re contributing to the Museum’s mission: for every group we book, the Museum is able to provide a free guided tour to a group from a historically marginalized community or to an organization working with this public.

On the program

  • Participatory guided tour
Indigenous Voices of Today: Knowledge, Trauma, Resilience

The exhibition bears witness to the still unrecognized knowledge of Indigenous peoples, the deep wounds they carry, and their incredible resilience. Carefully selected objects from the Museum’s Indigenous Cultures collection combine with powerful, inspiring testimonials from members of Quebec’s 11 Indigenous nations to shed light on their knowledge and philosophies.
  • Participatory workshop
My allyship in action to support indigenous nations

What concrete actions can we take in our daily lives to become allies in Indigenous struggles, both past and present? Developed in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, this workshop raises awareness of Indigenous realities through dialogue and tangible actions led by Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals.

Testimonials

“The visit was very interesting. The team thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great encounter, both with the exhibition and between colleagues, in a different, very inspiring context, which led to some great reflections. A great team-building activity. The content and facilities were excellent, as was the highly instructive facilitation. From our point of view, it’s definitely a team activity worth repeating.”

Danick, Jungle Media

“SAP Canada asked the McCord Stewart Museum to present the exhibition Indigenous Voices of Today virtually to our employees. The sessions were a major success, everyone loved them. The museum staff is very friendly and professional. I recommend the sessions for anyone who wants to learn more about the culture and the history of Indigenous people in Canada and how to become an ally.”
