Land InSights, in collaboration with the Museum, invites you to the National Indigenous Peoples Day Ceremony 2024 in Tiohtiá:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal.
ATIKU, SOUL OF THE FOREST
Songs, drumming, bonfires, tobacco ceremony, speeches and dances with Deer Family Singers and Dancers.
‘’On the morning of this emblematic day, our thoughts and wishes go out to the caribou, whose millennia-old presence has accompanied our nations in a long history of shared relations. To give thanks, but also to warn that the species’ survival is far from assured. Action required.‘’
