Evening program
5:30 p.m. | Massimadi Festival Launch
Celebrate the opening of the Massimadi Festival with a special cocktail and delectable hors d’oeuvres (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available). This warm and elegant event will be the perfect opportunity to meet other participants and professionals, to chat about the festival’s programming, and to kick off the festivities.
The event will feature a performance by Ensemble Obiora, Canada’s first classical music ensemble composed primarily of professional musicians from culturally diverse backgrounds. They will add a unique and refined atmosphere to the evening, with their inspiring melodies and captivating repertoire.
7:30 p.m. | Drift Screening
On the paradisal beaches of a Greek island, no one notices Jacqueline (Cynthia Erivo), a young refugee. No one except Callie (Alia Shawkat), an American tour guide. Their budding friendship has the potential to heal Jacqueline’s buried trauma and empower her to confront the ghosts of her past.
