Family Workshop: Textures of an Imagined Journey

Nunavut is a vast territory with many different landscapes. Explore Arctic textures and complete a familiar landscape to artist Manasie Akpaliapik: his native village of Ikpiarjuk. By cutting, tearing and gluing patterns and textures, fill in the postcard of your imagined trip to the Far North.

Manasie Akpaliapik. Inuit Universe
The exhibition developed by the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec features 40 remarkable works from the collection of the late Raymond Brousseau. Considered one of the most gifted artists of his generation, Manasie Akpaliapik teases creations representing Inuit oral tradition and values, Arctic wildlife and the environment out of his preferred materials, stone, whale bone or caribou antler.
