Collaborative beadwork workshop with artist Nico Williams: wanaabidoo’an | défaut | shortcomings
SOLD OUT | Paid activity | Space is limited, reservation required.
The Museum and Anishinaabe artist Nico Williams invite you to participate in a collaborative beadwork project! During four beadwork workshops that also involve listening and discussion, participants will learn new beadwork techniques and ways of working together around a unique group project.
Each session, participants will listen to a podcast created especially for the workshop, which will explore the creative stories of Indigenous artists and highlight the role of laughter in their approach. The audio recordings were made collectively with guest artists in November 2022. They are hosted by Nico Williams and Wayne Robinson, and produced by Amanda Roy in Montreal/Tiohtiá:ke.
