The Museum is throwing open its doors for the launch of its holiday programming, celebrating the traditions that Montrealers hold dear at this time of year meant for sharing and coming together.
Reconnect with your inner child as you discover or rediscover Ogilvy’s mechanical Christmas window displays, and admire an enchanting dolls’ castle presenting an 18th-century ball.

On the program
Let your imagination run wild
- 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. – Reading of the book If I Had a polar bear by Gabby Dawnay
- Immerse yourself in history with a guided tour specially designed for families of the exhibition Becoming Montreal: The 1800s Painted by Duncan
In English: 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
In French: 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. - Ongoing as of 10:30 a.m. – Contribute to our new collaborative holiday window display on the theme of snowy landscapes
Connect with Indigenous cultures
- Ongoing – Take a family tour of the new exhibition Wampum: Beads of Diplomacy
- Ongoing – Go on the adventure of connection in the permanent exhibition Indigenous Voices of Today: Knowledge, Trauma, Resilience
