The Photobook Club – Montreal: Reinventing Representations of Identity
Free Activity | Space is limited, Reservation required
All those who are passionate about photography are invited to the Museum to discuss books dealing with the theme of reinventing representations of identity, related to the exhibition Costume Balls – Dressing Up History, 1870-1927.
This activity, presented in collaboration with The Photobook Club – Montreal, is an invitation to reflect on autofiction, representations, and stagings of identity in photography books, as well as on the photographic practice of artists past and present.
Feel free to bring books from your personal collection that reflect your point of view, to enrich the conversation.
An initiative by Jean-François Hamelin, Josée Schryer and Thomas Bouquin, co-founders of The Photobook Club – Montréal.
