Rich in social diversity, certain Montreal neighbourhoods have recently undergone gentrification that aims to revitalize buildings and public spaces but that has also created tension among long-standing and new residents. Is it possible to change the social fabric of a district in a way that respects all of its residents, and if so, under what conditions?
