Montreal Under Construction! A Design Opportunity?
City Talks
February 7, 2018
LECTURE PRESENTED ON FEBRUARY 7, 2018
The need for repairs and reconstruction has resulted in an abundance of construction sites in the city. Over the past few years, special attention has been paid to managing these sites in a way that makes them more tolerable, even pleasant, for citizens and merchants. Can construction sites be a part of the creative life of the city? How can we prepare for the impact of construction while planning projects for commercial streets in our neighbourhoods?
Moderator:
- Dinu Bumbaru, Policy Director of Heritage Montreal
Speakers:
- André Poulin, Executive Director, Destination centre-ville
- Jean Beaudoin, Architect and Art Director
- Patrick Marmen, chercheur, Researcher, UNESCO Chair in Landscape and Environmental Design at Université de Montréal
