Industrial Sites: Abandonment or Conversion?
City Talks
January 30, 2019
Lecture presented on January 30, 2019
Montreal’s large industrial plants and complexes are reminders of how the city prospered from trade and industry. The future of these decommissioned sites is a major issue for economic and urban development. This industrial heritage presents many challenges but also significant opportunities that should not be underestimated. How can these large complexes be transformed? How can such initiatives be carried out for the benefit of both the public and the metropolitan area?
