Social acceptability: driving urban development or holding it back?
City Talks
January 29, 2020
Lecture presented on January 29, 2020
In the approval process for a public, community or private project, social acceptability is increasingly invoked by developers as the deciding factor. Whether it’s a mobility, housing, or neighbourhood development project, how do we reconcile developers’ goals with communities’ concerns?
How can we anticipate the future and assess projects from a long-term perspective? What role do the avant-garde, innovation and pioneering development play in this consultation and conciliation approach??
