Introduction to the McCord Stewart Museum’s online resources

April 4, 2022

To mark its 100th anniversary and to provide unparalleled access to its collections, the McCord Stewart Museum is proud to launch the new platform: Online Collections.

Designed for both history researchers and those who simply enjoy history, the site presents content on the social history and heritage of Montreal, Quebec, and Canada, featuring bilingual descriptions of over 140,000 objects, photographs and archival documents.

During this short webinar, Heather McNabb, Ph.D., Reference Archivist, Archives and Documentation Centre, explains how to search for objects, photographs, and archival documents on this new platform. She also does a quick tour of EncycloFashionQC, the online encyclopedia of Who’s Who in the history Quebec fashion and Resonance, the McCord Stewart Museum Blog.

This webinar is intended for educators, university students and all history and art enthusiasts who wish to deepen their knowledge.
