Centennial Fund Campaign

$1.5 million goal ─ 90% reached

The Museum Foundation will leave a $1.5 million lasting legacy by creating the Centennial Fund, which will generate annual income in perpetuity for the Museum to organize major exhibitions and to preserve and disseminate its collections.

To achieve this ambitious goal, the Foundation has launched a two-part fundraising campaign to build a combined endowment: the first component invites the public to participate and the second mobilizes the Montreal business community.

Museum's History

Did you know?

Inaugurated in 1921, the McCord embodies the vision of a passionate collector, David Ross McCord, whose abiding wish was to shed light on the history and cultures of his country and thus bring its people together.

Administered by McGill University since its opening, in 1987, the McCord Museum became a self-governing, private museum with an autonomous Board of Trustees, thanks to the generous support of the J. W. McConnell Family Foundation.
