Museum Announcements
The McCord Stewart Museum and its Foundation’s Board of Trustees are proud to announce the appointment of Amélie Saint-Pierre as Executive Director of the McCord Museum Foundation. Her mandate will be to develop a post-pandemic vision and strategy to enable the Foundation to effectively support the implementation of the Museum’s 2022-2027 strategic plan.
With over 15 years of experience, Amélie Saint-Pierre is a manager known for her discipline, professionalism, leadership and philanthropy expertise. Her most recent position was Executive Director of the Fondation du Centre Philou. She was also director of communications and development for Épisode, a fundraising consulting firm (2007-2015), and Theatre Lionel Groulx (2006-2007).
“The Foundation will definitely benefit from her proven track record as a manager and her keen knowledge of best practices in philanthropy. The Museum has an ambitious 2022-2027 strategic plan and it was essential that the Foundation’s Board of Trustees appoint an experienced administrator with a demonstrated ability to meet similar challenges,” noted Jean-Michel Lavoie, Chair of the McCord Museum Foundation Board of Trustees.
“It’s a great privilege for me to take on this new role. After 15 years in philanthropy, I’m delighted to return to the culture sector and combine my passion for history and the arts with my fundraising expertise. I look forward to doing everything I can to help the Museum achieve its objectives,” added Amélie Saint-Pierre.
Amélie Saint-Pierre takes over from Nathalie Lévesque, who retired in January after seven years of running the Foundation. During her mandate, Nathalie Lévesque made a significant contribution to the Foundation’s development and helped carry out numerous projects promoting the Museum.
